HSE Administrator
Overview
The HSE Administrator is a health and safety professional who performs administrative tasks and ensures that safety policies are enforced, and the organization remains compliant with all Customer, state, local, and federal requirements.
The HSE Administrator is responsible for acting as the back-office safety professional by conducting new hire and annual safety trainings, Â managing compliance with all contractor requirements, supporting investigation reports completion, maintaining regulatory compliance for OSHA, DOT, and EPA, as well as other tasks as assigned by management. This position supports personnel across all divisions of the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide direction and technical expertise to supervisors and managers to help them implement health and safety practices
- Promote environmental health & safety awareness through internal specific training programs
- Conduct or facilitate safety training and education programs to supervisory and field employees through formal training classes, safety meetings, etc.
- Perform regular audits to maintain federal and OSHA compliance.
- Administer and train our quality and safety manuals as well as manage and audit multiple projects simultaneously
- When there are incidents, near misses, or safety concerns, supporting Safety Manager on finalizing reports and compiling statistics.
- Ability to train, coach, and mentor employees on all applicable health, safety and environmental topics.
- You are conscientious about keeping up-to-date and accurate records and filing reports in a timely manner
- Collaborating with Foreman, Superintendents, Operations Manager, HSE Manager with current and upcoming projects, field findings, issues/concerns, etc.
- This position will report directly to the HSE Manager.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Associates Degree in occupational health and Safety or similar from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience (Preferred).
- Minimum 1-3 years employment experience in a structured safety program position
- Technical knowledge in general industry and construction related OSHA, federal, state, and local regulatory standards, and ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement effective corrective practices
- Must be an effective communicator, generating professional written material and delivering effective verbal presentations
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality with company and client information
- A valid driver’s license and pass a standard criminal background check, work verification check, 10-panel drug screen, and fit for duty physical
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
- Current certifications or in pursuit of any of the OHSA 10, 30, 510, 500 and/or Safeland
- Oil & Gas experience preferred, but not required

Schedule:
Pay: $21.00-25.00 per hour
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position, and general work schedule is Monday through Friday, position can require long hours and frequent weekend work, possibility to be on-call after work hours.
