Job description

Assist Services has an immediate opening for a foreman position for our Liner Division out of Eighty-Four, PA. The Liner Foreman position will handle the onsite day to day operation of the crew. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that all work is done safely and on time, along with managing equipment, employees, and materials required. We are looking for a person that has experience working with liner in the energy, oil & gas, or landfill industries. Applicants should expect to be working at locations that are out of town with an irregular work schedule. When out of town the company will provide lodging and per diem. Also, all work will be done from company vehicles.

Responsibility:

  • Maintain good communication with superintendents and In-Field Administrative Coordinators.
  • Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States. Estimated 75-100% travel.
  • Geosynthetic panel layout, welding/seaming.
  • Geotextile layout and sewing.
  • Geocomposite layout and seaming.
  • Operate hand and power tools.
  • Support crews laboring in multiple tasks to accomplish daily job responsibilities on work locations.
  • Learn new job duties to help support the growth of the company.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Must have experience working with liner, or containment.
  • Must have experience with Geosynthetic Welding.
  • Experience working in a supervisory role is preferred.
  • Possess problem solving, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • SAFELAND/ISN/PEC Training is highly valued.
  • OSHA 10 Training required. (Company will provide if needed)
  • All candidates must be able to pass a standard criminal background check and work verification check as well as a standard drug screen and fit for duty physical.

Physical Demands and Exposures

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
  • Exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking.
  • Regularly lift 50-75lbs.
  • Able to work in elevated areas
